I’m working with neighbouring County Councillor (David Mannings) and Osmington Parish Council (represented by Gillian Pearson) to get a footpath installed linking Osmington to Preston.  This is a key part of Osmington’s Village Plan and is supported by a lot of local residents who would like the option to walk or cycle safely into Preston and Weymouth.  Yesterday we inspected the verge along the road and confirmed that there is the base of an old footpath from Preston up to the entrance to White Horse Farm.  I will be working with County Officers to find a way to get this restored.  The next stage will then require the Parish Council and a group of local volunteers to work with private landowners to complete the route.
