In the next few weeks a planning application will be submitted for the re-development of Warmwell Quarry with the creation of up to 1,000 holiday homes and 750 jobs.  The project, known as Silverlake, is being proposed by Habitat First Group and will have similarities to the award-winning Lower Mill Estate in the Cotswolds.  Under this proposal the quarry will be transformed into a series of lakes, waterways, woodlands, heathlands, footpaths and heritage zones based around increasing the bio-diversity of the whole site while providing a huge range of leisure and recreational activities.  For more details click here http://www.habitatfirstgroup.co.uk/documents/silverlake_sitemap_june2013.pdf
