Work will take place in the first two weeks of September to deal with the problems caused by the flooding of West Stafford by-pass last year. The work will include clearing out three soakaways, creating new pipes to help with drainage, restoring gravel gullies and linking the soakaways to provide greater capacity to deal with flooding. The work is scheduled for September to avoid disruption to holiday traffic and before the water table starts to rise after the summer.
